Reporting to the Senior Director, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties, from costing and scheduling to inventory management and safety. - $70,000-$90,000 per annum, based on experience

What you’ll be doing
**Costing**:
**Track Panel-by-Panel Actual Costs**: Utilize supplied software to monitor costs at a granular level, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial tracking.
**Review Actual Costs**: Conduct detailed analysis to identify problem areas and opportunities for cost savings. Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
**Estimate Materials Cost**: Develop accurate cost estimates for materials on a panel-by-panel basis, contributing to budget preparation and financial forecasting.
**Track Material Costs by Project and Panel**: Maintain comprehensive records of material costs, associating them with specific projects and panels to ensure precise cost management.
**Leverage Suppliers for Cost Reduction Opportunities**: Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
**Scheduling**:
**Track Actual Schedules**: Use supplied software to monitor project schedules, ensuring all tasks are on track and deadlines are met.
**Track Long-Lead Items**: Maintain up-to-date information on long-lead items, integrating this data into project schedules to prevent delays.
**Order Long-Lead Items**: Ensure timely ordering of long-lead items to avoid project delays, coordinating with suppliers to confirm delivery timelines.
**Inventory Management**:
**Maintain Electronic Inventory System**: Oversee the electronic inventory system, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
**Establish Inventory Distribution System**: Develop and manage a system for the efficient distribution of inventory, optimizing flow and accessibility.
**Monitor Inventory Levels**: Regularly check inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet production needs without overstocking.
**Create Inventory Reports**: Generate detailed reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends to inform decision-making.
**Review Inventory System Reports**: Analyze system-generated reports to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
**Order Materials as Required**: Place orders for materials based on inventory levels and production needs, maintaining a balance between availability and cost.
**Maintain Supplier Relationships**: Foster strong relationships with primary, secondary, and tertiary suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
**Maintain Lead Times and Costs List**: Keep an updated list of lead times and costs for common inventory items, aiding in procurement planning.
**Obtain Long-Lead Items**: Proactively acquire long-lead items, ensuring they are available when needed to prevent production delays.
**Monitor Quality of Incoming Inventory**: Inspect incoming inventory for quality, ensuring it meets company standards and specifications.
**Review Quality Reports**: Analyze quality reports for incoming inventory, addressing any issues with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement.
**Establish New Supplier Relationships**: Identify and engage with new suppliers as needed to enhance the supply chain and meet evolving needs.
**Desired Experience & Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Procurement Specialist, with a focus on supporting manufacturing environments.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience working with unions is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability to manage the complexities of procurement in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining organized records and tracking tools.
- Proficient knowledge using procurement and inventory management software.
