We currently have a **Temporary Full-time (Until Feb 2024) **opportunity for a** Project Manager **in the **Odette Cancer Centre** at our** Bayview **campus.

Hours of work: Weekdays: Days, 8hrs, as per schedule

**Summary of Duties**

The Toronto Central (North) Regional Cancer Program (TCN RCP) is responsible for implementing provincial standards and programs for cancer care and ensuring service providers meet the requirements and targets set out in their partnership agreements with Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario. The TCN RCP is based out of the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and works closely with partner organizations in the region.

The Odette Cancer Centre and TCN RCP is seeking a Project Manager to drive improvements in patient support aligned with key priority indicators with a main focus on person-centred care metrics, including symptom management and smoking cessation process improvements.

**Responsibilities**:
Providing project management and quality improvement support for the Odette Cancer Centre and the Toronto Central (North) Regional Cancer Program, including:

- Completing analysis and information gathering to determine project scope and needs - analyzing internal and external environments, reviewing data and working in collaboration with Decision Support when needed
- Creating and maintaining detailed project plans to track progress and coordinate project schedules, resources and information
- Developing and delivering presentations to leadership to facilitate effective decision-making on objectives and plans
- Leading meetings with stakeholders (physicians, clinical staff, leaders) and coordinating internal resources for project execution
- Performing risk management to minimize project risks
- Executing communications plans to ensure all stakeholders are informed of key objectives, updates and milestones
- Measuring project performance, evaluating options and providing recommendations to leadership team on areas of improvement and operational sustainability for projects
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders at the regional and provincial level
- Ensuring appropriate engagement with patients, families and caregivers, internal stakeholders and external partners in the implementation of projects

Project Specific
- Design, implement and evaluate process improvements for priority indicators
- Support data quality assurance and ensure accuracy and completeness of data sent to Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario for key metrics
- Optimize opportunities for collaboration with regional stakeholders
- Work with Leads to Identify key initiatives, performance measures/benchmarks and timelines for annual work plans

**Key Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree in a health-related field required,
- Masters in health and/or quality related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role that has a strong emphasis on project management and quality improvement in a health care environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage large scale projects/change that involve interdisciplinary clinical stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to Quality Improvement and Performance Metrics, must be results and outcomes oriented
- Excellent organizational, project planning and relationship building skills
- Strong communications and excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
