MPC | Molded Precision Components is an advanced injection molding company, utilizing Industry 4.0 technology to manufacture plastic products of the highest precision and quality for various sectors of the automotive, medical, and packaging component industries. Recently recognized by General Motors as a _Supplier of the Year_, we specialize in mould design, tooling, automation, production of precision plastic components, and scientific injection molding of performance-critical plastic components.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Responsible for creating and submission of PPAP documentation to the customer. As well as supporting ERP changes, controls, coordinated releases and communication of change points.
**DUTIES**
- Promote MPC’s core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
- Flawlessly prepare PPAP packages including MDS submission and preparation for initial production part approval independently
- Perform, coordinate, and participate in, PPAP, Control Plan, and PFMEA
- Comply with established document and data control procedures
- Asses Quality Management System parts for impact to the system and evaluate to confirm changes continue to meet customer and international standard requirements
- Lead in the development of quality work instructions for use in production areas
- Lead quality projects through effective project tracking through to completion
- Read & interpret product drawings utilizing a basic understanding of such documents
- Compile data and information and summarize, where required
- Prepare, key in, correspondence, quality management information, and update computerized inventory systems (ERP)
- Complete quality documentation with appropriate communication & training for internal quality management systems
- Coordinate and distribute information and messages to ensure business continuity related to operation and quality
- Support operators when required (sorting, inspecting, labelling & tagging, manuals runs, brake relief and cleaning)
- Perform and train part inspections, both variable and attribute per specific work instructions, gauging and SPC measuring and recording as needed
- Report any abnormalities of parts or machines and suggest corrective action where applicable
- Aid in customer inquiries, communication and interaction as needed
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- It is essential to have a minimum of three (3) years’ of experience in a related role at a IATF 16949 certified automotive manufacturing company
- Must have extensive PPAP creation and submission experience
- Strong understanding of Quality Management System documentation and the ability to effectively carry out change points under a disciplined process release (IATF Audit Improvements)
- Post-Secondary Education preferred
- Must be adept at critical thinking and resolving problems with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under time restraints with a strong sense of urgency
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours during busy periods
- Results-oriented mindset with a strong interest in continuous improvement
- Excellent computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Excel. ERP, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Must demonstrate a professional, diplomatic and positive attitude
