Technical Writer

**Technical Writer - Draftsman - Onsite at Brossard Manufacturing facility**

As a Technical Writer - Draftsman, you will be responsible for the creation and management of technical documentation. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to create user manuals and engineering specifications for products. You will report to the Engineering manager.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Create and update product technical documentation and options offered to the North American market.;
- Maintain updated documentation as products and options evolve;
- Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation;
- Ensure the distribution of technical documents;
- Make detail drawings of parts and correct existing drawings of parts;
- Make assembly drawings and correct existing assemblies;
- Draw electrical diagrams or correct existing diagrams;
- Make product layout diagrams

**Assets required**:

- DEC or BAC in engineering
- 2 years experience in drawing
- 2 years experience in documentation
- Good knowledge of drawing standards
- Known drawing software: AutoCAD, Solidworks and CATIA V5
- Excellent written in French and English
- Basic knowledge of electrical control would be an asset
- Knowledge of InDesign software an asset
