**Please Note**:

- **The location of this position is in Dundas, Ontario, **_**not **_**Dundas, Toronto.**:
**Shifts**:
The schedules listed go based off of a mandatory 2-week rotation.

Saturday and Sunday from 6 am to 2 pm and Wednesday and Thursday from 2 pm to 10 pm
- 32 hours per week
- Every weekend
- Day/ Morning shifts _**and **_Afternoon/evening shifts

**Responsibilities**:

- Primarily focused on scaling trucks that carry animal product.
- Record the applicable data on the established computer system as each truck arrives.
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
