We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time IT Infrastructure Analyst in our Enterprise Technology Services department.

About this opportunity:
The IT Infrastructure Analyst’s role is to design, install, administer, and optimize company IT Infrastructure architecture and related components to achieve high performance of the various components including, but not limited to, networks, firewalls, servers, and devices. The IT Infrastructure Analyst will work closely with the information security team to ensure security procedures are followed and will work with IT teams to implement necessary upgrades, patches, or troubleshooting to solve problems.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Design, plan and implement infrastructure environment to support company strategic initiatives- Remain current with evolving technological products and features and constantly changing business needs, internal standards, and industry best practice. Drive processes to adequately forecast for new services and growth of existing services while simultaneously implementing opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies-
- Lead, coordinate and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the IT Infrastructure environment-
- Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure IT Infrastructure security-
- Work with Server and Network Administrator as a mentor and to implement their individual plans Strategy- Monitor and maintain enterprise systems and environment to ensure service level agreements are met and security compliance is maintained to meet regulatory requirements- Provide Tier 3 technical support for the infrastructure systems and environments- Head responsibility for complete lifecycle of infrastructure systems inclusive but not restricted to builds, post installation support, deployments, and Vendor interface- Assist to update disaster recovery plans along with business continuity analysis as appropriate- Perform within change control and ticketing system environment- Update technical and marketing documents related to infrastructure analysis- Work with the Server Analyst on implementing, maintaining, and monitoring backups- Conduct research on hardware, software, and protocols in support of procurement and development efforts.- Create Project Plans for deployment- Work with stakeholders to execute the Deployment Project Plan- Provide 24x7 out of hours on-call support, as scheduled

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline or post-secondary Diploma and equivalent years of experience- VMware, Microsoft, Security Certifications would be an asset-
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in project management, processes, and tools- Experience with scripting and programming- Knowledge and applicable experience with different operating systems and security tactics- Experience managing business, functional and technical requirements- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking skills- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and handle tight deadlines- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively consult with clients on business processes- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions- Experience in business process optimization and functionality with information technology- Experience in the development of data integration and data interoperability- Experience developing Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms and/or products- Must have an operator’s license and vehicle to drive to different City buildings as required- Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
