**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Understand and adhere to all Heidelberg Foods Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Understand Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) / British Retail Consortium (BRC) requirements for food safety.
- Understand FSEP (Food Safety Enhancement Programs), HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points), Pre-requisite Programs and Food Safety Policies.
- Responsible for the implementation and control of HACCP Programs & FSEP records.
- Help to develop and maintain a positive Food Safety Culture.
- Implement and monitor Food Safety & Quality measurements. (Micro swabbing, water sampling, environmental testing etc )
- Train employees in Food Safety & Quality Policy.
- On a daily basis, work with the Food safety Manager and CFIA Inspectors to ensure program & policy compliance.
- Conduct inspections of the facility and its procedures and communicates the results, take corrective actions.
- Reviews production, quality & food safety records.
- Monitors and strictly complies with all Critical Control Points. (CCPs).
- Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of SOPs, SSOPs and all other relevant process and legislation.
- Other duties as assigned.

**COMPETENCIES**:

- **Technical ability - Science degree preferred (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology)**:

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Science degree - preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
