The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a **Business Portfolio Manager **for our **Strategic Realization** Team within our **Home Office** located at **147 Commerce Drive** in **Winnipeg, MB.**

As a Business Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing large scale strategic initiatives in alignment with the strategic goals and business objectives of our organization. You will strive to optimize resource allocations and build synergies between projects while working closely with department leaders to develop, manage, and oversee a portfolio of projects from initiation to project closeout.

**As the Portfolio Project Manager, you will**:

- Establish Project Portfolio Management capability through the design, implementation, maintenance, and governance of the processes.
- Manage and oversee large scale strategic change initiatives.
- Act as a change management leader for the organization.
- Monitor, quality assure, evaluate, and report on the health of the portfolio ensuring risks are highlighted in a timely manner to maintain positive project performance.
- Create and maintain weekly/monthly Executive Team reporting.
- Regularly review program milestones and dependencies and assess the achievement of the objectives contained within Organizational Strategic Plan.
- Identify and highlight resource constraints (time, budget, people)
- Establish and manage the intake process for the portfolio, including assessment of new opportunities, resource planning and prioritizing projects.
- Maintain a backlog of potential future projects and work with stakeholders to prioritize and plan backlog project while ensuring that backlog is clearly identified, assessed, and prioritized.
- Monitor and review business cases, costs, budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and benefits realization plans for large scale projects
- Quickly and accurately identify significant issues and risks to the management of individual projects and communicate the business implications to key stakeholders to ensure project success.
- May be required to act as Project Manager on critical projects as required.
- Strong business acumen accompanied by a bachelor’s degree in business, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of portfolio management or technical leadership hands-on related work experience.
- Proven ability to function in fast paced cross functional team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across multiple department and levels of leadership.
- Above average facilitation skills - ability to bring resolution to complex problems or roadblocks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to quickly understand the business, challenges and propose solutions.
- Managerial courage to identify, communicate and resolve barriers to achieving results.
- Knowledge of or experience with agile development approaches are highly desirable.
