**Cobalt Connects**
Cobalt Connects is a dynamic non-profit arts service organization with a wide range of projects, events, and facilities in the Hamilton/Burlington area, with intentions to expand more broadly in the Southern Ontario region. Founded in 2003, the organization has four main streams of activity (Spaces, Exchange, Public Art, and Consulting).

**Indigenous Acknowledgement & Engagement**

The majority of our actions take place upon the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral,
Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One
Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which was an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and
Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. We further acknowledge that this land is covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, between the
Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also acknowledge that the communities we engage with throughout Ontario are on the traditional lands of other
Indigenous communities, and home to the urban Indigenous population.

Cobalt Connects acknowledges the systemic racism, injustice and cultural genocide that has taken place in Canada under the colonial system of which we are a part. We actively seek to bring Indigenous voices into our programming and leadership as we continue to explore an active role in reconciliation.

**Winterfest POP Staff**
Hamilton Winterfest POP: NOVA is our indoor immersive experience for February 2025. We are converting a 10,000 square foot space inside Jackson Square in to an outer space exploration designed by a team of local artists. Displays and exhibits will include LEGO, PacMan, real props from Star Trek & Star Wars, a 3D printed recreation of the Battle of Hoth, and so much more

The Winterfest POP Staff will primarily be involved in daily operational responsibilities, such as selling event tickets, operating the gift shop, and providing our guests with a fun and safe experience. We are looking for folks who are able to "live the experience" aboard our space craft, while contributing to the daily operations of the event space.

Staff will report to the Winterfest POP Manager and Associate Producer.

**Qualifications**
- All applicants must be 19 years or older
- Minimum 1 year experience in a retail, event, or attraction environment
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Cash-handling & POS experience
- Enthusiasm for pop culture, art, and good times
- Smart Serve an asset, but not required

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Event ticket sales
- Gift shop sales
- Ensure our event attendees have an immersive and safe experience
- Work with other staff and volunteers to ensure effective zone coverage
- Ensure the event space is clean and visually appealing
- Additional duties as assigned by management team
