**Description**:

- Reporting to the Coordinator of Procurement and Auxiliary Services, the Prevention and Security Officer will provide administrative support to security service functions, including but not limited to, access control, security personnel supervision, video surveillance, investigations, community relations, and other related administrative functions.
- More specifically, but not limited to, the Prevention officer will:
- Access Control Systems: Oversee access schedules, process access requests, grant and revoke permissions, and plan system changes;
- Video Surveillance: Ensure the system's proper function, review video content for investigative purposes, oversee the video surveillance system, ensure respect of established privacy protocols and laws, and recommend system improvements;
- Investigation Management: Launch investigations, conducts interviews, and drafts reports on completed or ongoing investigations. Liaise and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient reporting and follow-up actions;
- Lost and Found Management: Administer procedures for lost and found items in accordance with applicable laws and ensure the safe keeping of items. Establish and follow procedures for returning items to their proper owner; ensure the safe disposal of items in accordance with procedures and document all processes;
- Information Access: Review and collaborate on information requests, assist in collecting and assembling document packages, identify confidential information in documents for review and compliance with privacy acts;
- Emergency Operations: Assist in upkeeping all emergency operation protocols and equipment, ensuring up-to-date information sharing, and provide administrative support during emergencies;
- Security Personnel: Coordinate the work of security personnel, ensuring adherence to protocols and contractual obligations; collaborate for event planning, event responses, and emergency situations; maintains the training procedures and support the implementation of training protocols; act as a primary point of contact between the college administration and the security officers; monitor the operations of the agent’s round system and implement modifications to respond to departmental needs;
- Parking Management: Issue parking permits, oversee parking gates, organize schedules based on college operations, and facilitate communications between service providers and the college;
- Community Relations: Set up security booths, disseminate safety information, and liaise with stakeholders regarding investigations;
- Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative support to security and auxiliary services, assist in the mailroom and printshop as required.

- Classification: Agente ou agent à la prévention et à la sécurité (Prevention and Security Officer)**Requirements**:

- Qualifications:
- An attestation of vocational studies (AEC) in an appropriate specialty;
OR- Attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent AND at least two (2) years of pertinent experience.

Other requirements:
- A valid license issued by the Bureau de la Sécurité Privée for Gardiennage

Conditions related to the specific position:
- Solid understanding in security operations and systems (may be tested);
- Strong organizational abilities;
- Self-driven with a strong sense of initiative;
- Strong communication skills, spoken and written, in both French and English (to be tested);
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a high-stress, high-information environment (may be tested);
- Training in police or security intervention, an asset;
- Knowledge of the different security sys
