**Marketing Intern**

The South Asian Yard is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team. The Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting in the execution of marketing initiatives and projects. This includes assisting with various marketing projects and programs, as well as assisting in the development of marketing materials and campaigns.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand visibility, engagement, and drive website traffic across multiple channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Reels, LinkedIn, and Squarespace.
- Create compelling and visually appealing content (e.g., TikTok, Reels, posts, stories, etc) that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.
- Manage our social media channels (website, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok & Facebook) as well managing Facebook Manager and Google Ads
- Plan and schedule social media posts, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of content.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our social media presence.
- Collaborate with the executive team to integrate social media campaigns with overall marketing initiatives.
- Analyze and report on social media performance using relevant metrics and tools, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Assist in developing and implementing paid social media advertising campaigns, including audience targeting and ad creation.
- Collaborate with influencers and content creators to develop partnerships and collaborations that amplify brand awareness and engagement.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking social media trends and conversations related to our brand, industry, and target audience, identifying opportunities for engagement and content creation.
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends, features, and best practices, and actively explore new platforms and opportunities to expand our social media presence.
- Accompany the SAY team during outings such as markets, product-design days, retreats, etc., to create engaging content.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Completed or in progress of completion of a post-secondary degree preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of Canva PRO, Google Workspace, SquareSpace, Instagram, and TikTok
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ideal if lives in Scarborough ON

**Compensation**:

- Summer Contract
- Minimum Wage $15.50 hourly
- Hybrid (80% online, 20% in-person)
- Main Location Hub: Scarborough, ON
