If you answered yes, our **Pinawa, Manitoba** location is looking to fill the role of **Planning Coordinator. **The Planning Coordinator develops and builds work planning packages and work instruction packages to support maintenance, construction and decommissioning activities by coordinating and conducting field level walk down assessments to identify industrial hazards and subsequent mitigations, layout and sequence the detailed field work execution activities and provide a forecast of the resource requirements required to execute the field work to the work control Scheduler in support of the WL Integrated Work Control (IWC) program and the WL MPWM team. They also provide support to the Work Control Manager and other Branch, Program and Division members and is responsible for performing their work in a safe, efficient and timely manner. **What will you be doing?**
- Leading in the development and improvement of the WL Integrated Work Control program and initiatives.
- Interface with customers, project groups, maintenance work group and support groups to determine preventative maintenance requirements to meet regulatory (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC)) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M Manual) requirements.
- Leading the planning of safe work activities using the Integrated Work Control process incorporating a thorough understanding of WL computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and planning process.
- Leading the development and technical writing of the WL Work Instruction Packages to create a safe and comprehensive field ready work execution packages. This includes creation of Job Hazard Analysis and Work Instruction, walk downs, resource, equipment and materials requirements.
- Identify and coordinate required Subject Matter Experts and project team to build a “Planning Team” to create Work Instruction Packages.
- Leading in the development and improvement of the WL Integrated Work Control program and initiatives. - Refining work scope and job steps with Planning Team, identify all associated hazards and implement mitigations.
- Learning and following CNL procedures; implement into Work Instruction Packages to maintain highest level of safety and efficiency to conduct all work on site.
- Provide assistance to create estimates of duration, forecast outlook of trade and support resources requirements and costs associated to work activities to ensure WL baseline schedules can be maintained.
- Provide weekly updates on work instruction package development.
- Responsible for working with Subject Matter Experts to ensure proper resources are scheduled against a specific scope of work.
- Facilitating field execution tasks through coordination of work activities with other work groups, Project Supervisors, Lead hands as well as scheduling of resources.
- Assist to improve and enhance Key Performance Metrics and Resource Capacity Forecasting to assist cross functional teams in achieving site wide decommissioning milestones and deliverables.
- Providing leadership and cross functional team engagement of the continuous improvement initiative with the “6” S (“5S” Lean Management Philosophy + Safety Culture).
- Enhancing safety culture and organizational excellence through leadership, accountability, communication and process improvement. Specifically to deliver the Whiteshell restoration mission safely, more efficiently and effectively through adherence to Integrated Work Control.
- Making recommendations supporting the principle of continuous improvement. Assist customer groups with development and update of maintenance plans, Work Instruction Packages and suggesting changes.
