Quality Control Inspector

**Job Summary**:
The successful applicant will work as part of a team responsible for ensuring the end product meets drawing specifications and customer requirements.

**Essential Functions**:

- Verify incoming, in-process and final product meets specifications by conducting visual inspection and dimensional verification compared to Engineering drawings and other technical specifications.
- Clearly document non-conformities for effective understanding of the issue and decision-making.
- Ensure non-conforming material is quarantined and escalated for disposition according to Problem Management processes.
- Collect data in electronic systems according to documented Inspection Test Plans.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Read, write and speak English fluently.
- 20-20 vision (unaided or corrected).
- Correct colour recognition.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, schematics, blueprints and 3D CAD models.
- Good working knowledge of welding, fabrication processes and controls.
- Familiarity with special processes (ex. plating, painting, heat treating).
- Mechanical Technologist diploma (or considerable related work experience).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Controlled Goods clearance.
- Must be able to obtain a NATO SECRET clearance.

- Preference given for experience with**:_
- AS9100 Quality Certification and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
- Coordinate-Measuring Machines (CMM), especially FARO Arms.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD), especially with SolidWorks.
- Infor Visual ERP software.
- Measurement Systems Analysis.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience with measurement instruments (Caliper, micrometer, scales, circ tape etc.)
