SMT Quality Control Inspector (Evening Shift)

We are looking for an SMT Quality Control Inspector to join our world-class manufacturing and design facility in Ottawa, Ontario

Reporting to the Evening Shift Production Manager, the SMT Quality Control Inspector ensures that all products and material conform to, drawings, specifications, Curtiss-Wright workmanship standards and contractual requirements. Additionally, they will complete non-conformances reports when defects are found. The incumbent of this position will assist in providing for an environment which fosters cooperation, initiative and self-motivation through teamwork and individual dedication.

Your Challenge- Maintaining an organized system for the handling of the following:
- Product and raw material inspection-
- Inspection defect analysis reports-
- Certificates of Conformance forms (C of C)-
- Surveillance Inspection Reports, checklists-
- Quality Control Surveillance Reports-
- Inspection Logs-
- All quality/manufacturing documents for storage and retention, if necessary-
- Ensuring that inspection targets, quality requirements and schedules are maintained.- Performing AOI and X-ray as needed to support SMT.- Assisting SMT Offline Setup as needed to support SMT.- Assisting SMT Operators during changeovers- Supporting In-Process Inspection- Providing support for both Receiving Inspection of raw material and Final Inspection of manufactured product- Providing recommendations for continuous improvements- Conducting surveillance inspections in the manufacturing areas to ensure compliance to manufacturing procedures.- Contributing to a healthy, orderly, safe working environment through a positive attitude and constructive feedback.

What You Bring- Technical Diploma in related field- 2 - 4 years’ experience in quality inspection of military electronic products- Certified IPC-A-610- Good communication skills - spoken and written.- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Exchange)- SAP and EM Quality skills are an asset.
