Lock Shop Technician

Our company continues to grow and is currently seeking a Lock Shop Technician (Basic mechanical or locksmith experience would be an asset) (no experience is necessary, just willing and eager to learn) to work with us in our Edmonton Branch.
**Duties include**:
- Design and maintain master key systems
- Rekey locks to customer requirement
- Assist in inventory control
- Follow policies for restricted key
- Prepare customer orders for field technicians
- Service and repair various locks, door hardware and other security devices
- Answering shop phones
- Parts preparation
- Key cutting, pinning and fixing locks
- Other duties as required
- Assist in shipping and receiving
**Experience requirements**:
- Proven diagnostic skills able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory
- Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a broad range of customer
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Forklift license would be an asset
- Self-motivated and calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Intermediate computer skills required
- Works well independently, takes direction well
- The ability to lift in excess of 25 Kilos
- Must be willing to undertake a criminal background check on an annual basis
- Punctual and reliable
