In addition to what makes you unique, there are a few basics that we require for this role:
**Requirements**:

- Professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role or with a public accounting firm
- Understanding of cost centers used for management reporting
- An interest in process improvements, automations and implementing other efficiencies
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work both independently and as a team to meet month-end reporting deadlines
- Goal oriented individual that works towards project completion

**Considered an asset**:

- Experience with Sage 300 or another similar ERP software
- Experience preparing year-end files at a public accounting firm
- Experience in the real estate or senior living industries

**Your Role**
- Manage full cycle accounting for a variety of entities
- Manage an accounting and finance team
- Ensure month end closes are completed on a timely basis
- Review monthly, quarterly, and year end financial reporting packages prepared by accounting staff for submission to senior management and ownership
- Review submission of all statutory income tax and HST filings
- Cashflow monitoring
- Lead ad-hoc projects required to enhance our operational and reporting efficiencies
