Reporting to the Executive Director, the **Workforce Coordinator** provides a range of services to all employees and managers related to workforce management and administration including timekeeping, staffing & scheduling, assisting payroll processing, leave administration, on-boarding, and orientation at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Nursing Home Inc. a 200-bed long term care home.

This position requires initiative, good judgment of staffing and scheduling, excellent communication skills and a dedication to quality care in achieving the mission of _Adding Life to the Years of our residents._

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Administers HRIS and Workforce Systems throughout the employee life cycle including system initiation, resignations, terminations, and status changes according to established procedures.
- Coordinates all onboarding activities and facility orientation of new employees;
- Analyzes and validates timecards in the processing of bi-weekly payroll;
- Ensures accuracy of seniority lists; follows established procedures for all internal job postings and associated employee assignments
- Allocates and replaces shift vacancies in accordance with collective agreements, Kenneth E. Spencer Home company policies, and established operational guidelines;
- Ensures accurate schedules are completed and implemented within defined timelines;
- Acts as point of contact for all employee requests for information and additional support on staffing and scheduling.
- Follows established procedures for processing time and attendance transactions in the timekeeping system including time off requests, leave processing, and assignment of rotation and extra shifts;
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as Business Administration, Office Administration, Human Resources, or Payroll Administration.
- 1-2 years of previous experience in Human Resources/or payroll administration in a large, complex environment.
- Previous experience working in a health care setting or previous experience using staffing, scheduling, or payroll software is considered a strong asset.
- Must have a clear Canadian Criminal Record Check.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodation, services and care.

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
