Home and Agro Clerk

The Home and Agro Clerk - Night Crew/Yard will be responsible for providing information, assistance, and customer service, as well as perform Night Crew and Yard related duties after store hours.
- Come to work with a positive and professional approach and attitude
- Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
- Maintain a good understanding of till operation and provide a neat, clean and well-merchandised front-end at all times
- Operate the point of sale (“**POS**”) terminal as required and to the expected standard
- Assist with yard duties such as flat stacking lumber piles, etc.
- Remove garbage and debris from the yard, and prepare the site for the following day
- Maintain and create new signage for the yard as required
- Provide information, assistance and customer service in a manner that will promote the sale of merchandise and meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
- Ensure the “Care Commitment” Program is followed
- Ensure the Home Centre floor and merchandise is recovered and reset by the end of every shift, and prepared for the following opening shift
- Ensure all stock has been accurately received in a timely manner, and placed in their respective departments
- Complete cycle counts for the yard based on the schedule provided by the Yard Supervisor or Assistant Home Centre Managers
- Execute price changes as required
- Maintain constant communication with supervisors and managers
- Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union health and safety standards
- Plan for self development and take initiative to improve own knowledge, skills and abilities
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Able to work independently
- Driven to achieve daily tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Firm grasp of product assortment or have a willingness to learn all product lines
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to use equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and forklifts as required
- Experience in merchandising and knowledge of merchandising best practices
- Understanding of inventory control, product location theory, and cycle counts
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to be friendly and outgoing
- Emerging ability to manage relationships at all levels
