We are seeking a Manager, Benefits and Pension to join our team in Winnipeg or Toronto.

Reporting to the Director, Compensation and Benefits, the Manager, Benefits and Pensions will lead the development and delivery of our total rewards strategy. You will lead the delivery of key components of the organization’s benefits and pension programs to align with overall business plan and strategic directives. You will lead, coach and mentor a team that oversees benefits and pension activities, ensuring the team provides high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.

**The Manager, Benefits and Pensions will**:

- Develop and deliver the benefit and reward strategy.
- Serve as the primary contact for benefit vendors, providing direction to insurance carriers, and other administrative agencies outside the company to meet benefit and contractual needs.
- Conduct benchmarking analysis of benefits through both formal reports and informal networking to ensure a competitive position of total rewards offerings with respect to peers.
- Create and execute employee and internal communication strategies and campaigns around employee benefits programs designed to inform, educate and engage employees.
- Work with the HR Operations, HR Systems and Payroll teams to implement any changes to reward and benefits.
- Foster and manage all stakeholder relationships, provide input to the review of external providers and monitor service standards.
- Ensure ongoing support processes to pension schemes and get the required corporate review and sign-off of key areas are operated efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in implementation and amendments of programs with the insurance carrier on behalf of the client; ordering monthly billing statements and experience reports from carrier websites as required.
- Provide ongoing support to Plan Administrators by preparing and implementing revisions for plan design changes.
- Complete year-end tasks such as preparing annual pension statements, member reconciliations and fund reconciliations; calculating Pension Adjustments; determining increases to pensions-in-pay
- Review, design and evolve the policies, programs, and administration for employee pension plans in alignment with legal requirements and the company's total rewards strategy.
- Develop and monitor the budget around the company's pension plans in coordination with Finance, Regulation & Commercial Directorate and develop future projections.
- Manage modelling cost analyses for various benefit and pension project and policies updates.

**T**o be successful **as a **Manager, Benefits and Pensions **with People Corporation, you will need**:

- Relevant degree level qualification (for example, Finance, Accountancy, Business or HR related.
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience in the management of benefits programs.
- Expertise in integrating multiple benefits, retirement, and pension plans, as well as in establishing integrations from Human Capital Management systems to benefit providers.
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience in the operation, management, and governance of a defined contribution scheme.

- Minimum of two years' relevant experience in delivering creative and engaging written and verbal content and presentations to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
**- Experience leading and influencing a team.
- Insurance industry experience.
