**Job Summary**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Development & Client Relations Executive is responsible for building client relationships and handling the most important client leads and accounts in the company. The Business Development & Client Relations Executive will take qualified sales leads that are interested in energy audits and work closely with the operations and marketing teams to ensure the client’s needs are well understood so project proposals that meet their needs can be delivered quickly and accurately.

The Business Development & Client Relations Executive will be the key point of contact for sales matters, anticipating clients’ needs, ensuring deadlines are met, and helping their clients succeed. They will educate clients on our products and services, ensure clients always feel cared for, and cheerlead them across the finish line of achieving their sustainability, energy efficiency and savings goals.

As client-centred specialists, our Business Development & Client Relations Executive are warm, personable, and have a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency. They are innately curious about the clean energy transition, and driven to continually self-educate on solar, battery storage, AI-driven sustainability solutions, the “Internet of Things,” and LEDs.

**Other Key Responsibilities**
- Expanding existing client relationships; and bringing in new clients
- Providing accurate sales forecasts and allocating resources so targets are met
- Developing solutions and resolving client issues and complaints
- Building relationships with a customer-focused-mindset and ensuring we are exceeding their expectations throughout the full lifecycle of a project
- Collecting feedback and references from clients
- Planning and presenting reports on leads, account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives
- Analyzing client data to provide helpful insights to the marketing team
- Working with the design, marketing and sales team, executives, and operations to ensure highest quality of materials and solutions are being produced and all client needs are met

**Skills and Qualifications**
- 3-5 years of significant experience in either sales, business development or key account management, resulting in at least $1M+ annual revenues
- Goal-oriented, organized, team player
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to think on your feet, diagnose problems and find solutions
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and leadership skills
- Strong networking abilities
- Strong degree of diplomacy and the ability to work with a range of different people
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software
- Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals
- Cold calling skills are an asset

**Financial Expected/Average**
