**About The Opportunity**

As the HR Manager, you will be a partner to business leaders and employees on organizational and HR-related issues, including but not limited to workforce planning, talent development, change management, organization design and effectiveness, employee engagement, employee relations, and performance management.

The bulk of your work will be with our leaders and employees to help solve any people related issues, keeping in mind precedence and business needs. This includes partnering with internal HR experts as needed on employee relations, compensation, manage employee relations, leadership development, benefits, succession planning, employee development needs, etc.

As some of our work is within the province of Quebec, fluency in the French language is strongly preferred but not essential.

The HR Manager acts as a champion and a coach for the business, monitoring the effect of business decisions on people and translating business needs to the HR team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop innovative people strategies with Senior Leadership team to enable both long
- and short-term business plans.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization with HR Pillar Leader, maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
- Manage performance review and progressive discipline process, balancing support and accountability
- Educate and coach leaders on process and policy, compliance, and other people-related business needs
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention
- Act as a proactive change agent, fostering positive employee and management relations
- Coach, counsel and strategize with the leadership team members to address organizational challenges, provide guidance/solutions, and make decisions during times of ambiguity on a variety of situations
- Coach managers on standard methodologies and talent management with respect to employee relation issues including Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and terminations
- Identify and analyze key workforce trends; act as key liaison between the business and People & Culture team to implement improvements
- Actively collaborate across peer groups - specifically, individuals within recruiting, training & development and finance to optimize the acquisition, integration and development of talent and achieve company goals
- Work independently with mínimal supervision, in ambiguous situations, and persevere over internal and external barriers to drive resolutions
- Analyze and Interpret Data: Exercise strong analytical skills using data and anecdotes to develop persuasive narratives and recommendations; demonstrated ability to define and measure success of programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries

**Experience & Qualifications**
- 5-8 years HR experience
- 3+ years in an HR leadership role
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent - **Preferred**:

- Familiarity and comfort using technical products such as HR software, MS Office, Teams, etc
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance standards and employment law
- Outstanding written and verbal communication with communicative approach to relationship building
- Strong ethics and ability to balance compassion with business decisions
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once
- Experience with employee relations including leading investigations
- Strong analytical skills
- Outstanding listening skills - able to understand and anticipate needs of others
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate and influence across multiple levels, functions and geographies
- Fluent in French Language - **Preferred**
