Develop, implement, maintain and test Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions. This includes development of SCADA displays (real-time data, historical trend screens, alarm banners and alarm summary windows, pop-up windows for set point entry and equipment control, data collection/logging, automatic report generation ), DB programming, writing of structured specifications, development of proper test plans, participation in walkthrough processes.
Analyze and respond to Gas Control problem reports and inquiries in a timely manner, recommending the appropriate course of action and/or system changes required to resolve them.
Act as liaison between Gas Control and field staff (e.g. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programmers) to ensure field-SCADA integration.
Provide partial backfill for SCADA Technologist duties and responsibilities in supporting SCADA functionalities.
Undertake specific tasks or projects as assigned by the Manager (e.g. prepare Requests for Proposal, represent the team at meetings).
Plan and prioritize assigned tasks, completing them by the agreed upon completion dates. Provide weekly status reports as to the completeness of all tasks.
Perform duties of a minor nature related to the above duties which to not affect the evaluation of the job. Requirements
Diploma in Computer Science, Systems Technology or equivalent and three (3) years directly related relevant experience.
Basic knowledge in Field Instrumentation, Telemetry Protocols and Process Control/Automation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to share knowledge and skills with others.
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
Experience in network security protocols preferred.
