**Job Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in a related field such as legal assistant, public administration or business administration, OR
- An equivalent of four years’ experience in a legal assistant, public administrative or business administrative role, OR
- An equivalent level of directly related education and experience in natural resource management.
- Experience in advising and explaining policies and legislation.
- Experience reading and understanding legal documents/plans and resource maps.
- Experience working in a customer service delivery program and dealing with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.

**Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following**:

- Recent (within the last five (5) years) experience in BC with supporting natural resource management relating to water allocation and management.
- Completion of formal courses in business law, real estate law, contract law or appraisals.
- Knowledge and experience of real property contract and/or administrative law.

**About this Position**:
Currently there is one (1) permanent opportunity and one (1) temporary opportunity available until March 31, 2025.
This position can be worked from the following communities: Penticton, Vernon, Merritt or Kamloops.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
An eligibility list may be established for future temporary and/or permanent opportunities.
