***Under the direction of the Parks Supervisor or his/her designate, safely operates utility tractors with various attachments and other vehicles to maintain park facilities. Completes minor tractor and equipment maintenance and performs routine turf maintenance duties including turf cultural practices, irrigation, sports field and ball diamond maintenance as well as various Parks maintenance duties.

***Selection Criteria**:

- Minimum Grade 12 education with turf maintenance courses or acceptable equivalent in education or experience.
- Successful completion of an industry recognized irrigation training course.
- One (1) year experience in turf and irrigation system maintenance procedures including sports field and ball diamonds.
- Six (6) months experience in the operation of a utility tractor.
- Demonstrated ability in the operation of a skid steer.
- Must be able to take instructions and carry them out without supervision.
- Must hold a valid Ontario Class "D" Driver's License with "Z" endorsement; or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
- Must have a good work and operator record.
- Demonstrated ability to complete necessary reports.

***Hours of Work: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday**

**Hourly Rate: $28.39 per hour**
