We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for short evening shifts, weekends and vacation coverage who thrives in a client-centered care model and embodies our vision and values of excellence, compassion, and innovation.
**What You’ll Do**
As a key member of our team, you’ll perform a variety of standard diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including general and vascular studies, providing preliminary assessments to support the Radiologist. Reporting to the Lead Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
- _Patient-Centered Care_: Preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and addressing their questions with empathy and professionalism.
- _Expert Imaging_: Conducting 2D, M-mode, and Doppler ultrasound studies, capturing accurate images and measurements to support diagnosis.
- _Equipment Excellence_: Ensuring ultrasound equipment is clean, well-maintained, and operational, with prompt attention to quality control issues.
- _Continuous Improvement_: Participating in quality assurance initiatives and evaluating new equipment to keep our services at the forefront of diagnostic care.

**Qualifications**:
- Graduation from a recognized training program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Current Certification and in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role.
- Current CPR certification.
**Skills and Abilities**
- Proven expertise in General and Vascular sonography and aseptic techniques.
- Experience in Breast and Musculoskeletal imaging an asset.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Confidence in operating advanced ultrasound equipment and maintaining high standards of care.
- Strong computer and data management skills.
- Organizational skills to prioritize workloads and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Pay: $40.00-$46.00 per hour
