We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer for one day per week who thrives in a client-centered care model and embodies our vision and values of excellence, compassion, and innovation.

**What You’ll Do**:
As a key member of our team, you’ll perform standard diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures, providing preliminary assessments to support the Radiologist.

Reporting to the Lead Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

- Patient-Centered Care_: Preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and addressing their questions with empathy and professionalism.
- Expert Imaging:_ Performing basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, making the necessary adjustments and taking measurements required for the interpretation to obtain accurate, high-quality results.
- Equipment Excellence_: Ensuring ultrasound equipment is clean, well-maintained, and operational, with prompt attention to quality control issues.
- Continuous Improvement_: Participating in quality assurance initiatives and evaluating new equipment to keep our services at the forefront of diagnostic care.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduation from a recognized training program in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonography with specialization in Cardiac Sonography.
- Current Certification and in good standing with Sonography Canada (CRCS) and/or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS).
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role.
- Current CPR certification including Basic Life Support (BCLS).

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Proven expertise in Cardiac Sonography and aseptic techniques.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Cardiac Sonography.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Confidence in operating advanced ultrasound equipment and maintaining high standards of care.
- Strong computer and data management skills. Existing knowledge of Ramsoft (PACS) an asset.
- Organizational skills to prioritize workloads and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00-$46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 per week
