**Primary Responsibilities**
- Assisting assigned lawyers and managing overflow
- Managing all scheduling, including calendars, and the Bring Forward “tickler” system
- Compiling, serving, and filing motion records and other court documents
- Drafting, sending, and replying to correspondence
- Communicating with clients, experts, and the courts
- Preparing and sending invoices
- File opening and closing
- Managing and scanning documents in electronic file management systems such as a Document Management System, Relativity, and Divorce Mate
- Transcription of dictation and/or proofreading dictation from an external center
- Other duties related to the general administration of the practice

**Qualifications**
- 2-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably supporting a Personal Injury practice and one or more of the following practice groups: Commercial Litigation, Health Law, Insurance Defence, or Family Law
- Flexibility as this role will require working for different practice areas, teams, or lawyers as business needs arise
- Familiarity with _The Rules of Civil Procedure_, particularly regarding service rules and deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively on a team and individually
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with technology and working in a remote/hybrid environment.
- Experience working in electronic file management systems
