Truck Dispatcher

MJ Express specializes in hauling cross-border FTL and LTL freight as a part of our van division.

We are looking for a sales-oriented dispatcher to be employed at our home terminal in Cobourg, Ontario.

Experience & Qualifications:

- minimum 2 years of experience as a dispatcher considered an asset
- minimum of grade 12 or equivalent, post-secondary considered an asset
- experience as a professional driver considered an asset
- mechanical understanding/knowledge of commercial vehicles considered an asset
- experience using Transplus Fleet Manager is an asset; (Isaacs to a lesser degree)
- knowledge of American and Canadian commercial trucking HOS regulations
- expert at Microsoft Outlook
- comfortable using Microsoft Excel

- ability to set plans and willingness to adjust the plans if required
- constantly generating sales leads through different channels with the goal of growing # of house accounts
- able to balance the management of drivers HOS, customers’ expectations and profitability
- creative thinker who provides solutions to management
- openness to receive direction and work as a team
- confident and willing to use the telephone
- ability to recognize efficiency opportunities and willingness to adapt plans to achieve efficiency

Details:

- compensation negotiable based on experience
- schedule - Mon-Fri (roughly 8am-5pm)
- must be able to reliably commute to be in the office at least 3-4 days/week (best case scenario 5 days/week)

**Salary**: $15.65-$28.73 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
