Our Niagara Region based client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team full time.

**What You’ll Do**
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the company's business goals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess market conditions.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand procurement needs and requirements.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and service.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
- Monitor and analyze procurement spending to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or service.
- Ensure compliance with the budgetary constraints of the organization.
- Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Manage the procurement team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain issues.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of procurement activities.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance to senior management.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in procurement processes and practices.
- Utilize procurement software and tools to streamline and enhance procurement activities.
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations that could benefit the company's procurement operations.
- Implement new technologies and practices to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

**How You Will Be Successful**
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management is required.
- 2+ years of experience in supervisory or leadership role is required.
- Level 2 Police background check will be required.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
- Supply Chain Management Professional designation and experience in the technology integration or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience using an ERP system is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing inventories, cost controls, and supplier relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
- Ability to work additional hours to meeting business objectives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Wage**: $30 to $36 / hr., aligned with experience and health benefits.

**Shifts**: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
