**Job Overview**:
We are growing and are looking to hire a Service Manager for our Edmonton location.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Manage and coach a team of 310T and 310J Technicians.
- Monitor and guide productive team planning and shop floor huddles.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meeting with staff.
- Manage employees to work within standard work procedures and identify waste and areas for improvement.
- Hiring and managing team performance.
- Ensure technician experience and skillsets are to standard to achieve stated business requirements.
- Monitor work to ensure quality and safety is maintained.
- Ensure all work meets company, industry, and regulatory standards.
- Supply tools and training to support technician efficiency.
- Work with OEMs to ensure technical support and training is supplied and up to date.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure timely reporting of any Health and Safety issues.
- Prepare and monitor annual budget.
- Achieve contributions to budgeted levels or higher.
- Manage expenses in a responsible manner.
- Solicit new business to grow and diversify.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Address customer disputes and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain work order and invoice closing within target timeframe.
- Supply quotes to internal and external customers.
- Ensure all requirements are met for processing of warranty for work performed in the shop.
- Assist with accounts receivable for invoicing issues or disputes.
- Monitor scorecards to identify areas for improvement.
- Other work as may be defined.

**Requirements**:

- Truck and trailer parts knowledge.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound computer skills.
- Strong technical skills related to transportation.
- Grade 12 with trade technical training.
- Valid 310T or 310J License.
- Minimum five (5) years of management/supervisory experience.
