Job Summary

First Truck Centre, a leading provider of trucking services, is seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team at our Edmonton South branch. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers, booking appointments, and scheduling repairs.
  • Create accurate estimates for the service department, ensuring transparency and fairness in pricing.
  • Manage department invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Sell repairs and services recommended by technicians, promoting our services and building customer trust.
  • Follow up with customers, keeping them informed and updated on the status of their repairs.
  • Explain all work performed and charges, ensuring customers understand the services provided.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills, both in person and over the phone, verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once, managing competing demands and deadlines.
  • Confidence using computer systems, writing reports, and utilizing scheduling tools.
  • Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment.
  • Previous experience in the automotive or trucking industry is an asset, but not required.
  • Able to climb in and out of Class 8 trucks, ensuring safety and efficiency in all aspects of the job.
