Procurement Manager

Are you a strategic procurement manager with experience working in the food manufacturing industry? Our company is looking for a procurement manager to lead the purchase of products from a pre-approved suppliers list at the pre negotiated rates with consideration given to the urgency of needs. The procurement manager is responsible in ensuring that there’s enough inventory supply and that the company meets high level of customer service and minimize inventory loss due to spoilage/obsolescence and days on hand inventory as per company expectations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Ensure the accuracy of the inventory ERP system
- Daily review of product movement forecasts based on cyclical needs and availability, market trends, and probability of anticipated sales.
- Partner with Research and Development with the sourcing of new supplies and/or new ingredients as needed.
- Provide vendors with forecast of product requirements.
- Maintain ordering of various product lines from numerous vendors daily.
- Inspect quantity and quality of stock received from manufacturer.
- Request refunds from vendors to compensate for losses incurred with damaged product and work with finance to reconcile accounts.
- Research opportunities to return products to manufacturers that do not sell.
- Verify inventory status and delivery schedules.
- Review quality concerns on perishable overstock inventory and recommend plan for disposition of product.
- Negotiate and writing simple deals, recommending terms and conditions for contracts that agreed upon by senior management.
- Provides and updates all reports applicable for monthly material purchases, commodity prices, market trends and import schedules as requested by internal departments.
- Procures product specs and supplies as per SFCR & SWF require.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- 3 years previous experience as Procurement Manager in the food manufacturing industry
- Diploma Business Administration, Logistics, or similar relevant fields
- In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
- Understanding of HACCP and basic food safety standards
- Understanding of large scale production and assembly
- Clear understanding of Hospitality and Service and the Customer Experience
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Negotiation aptitude.
