In partnership with Police Services in Manitoulin and the North Shore, we provide coordinated and initial assistance to victims of crime, trauma, and tragic circumstances. This program has been in existence since 1997 and has assisted hundreds of victims. The work is both challenging and rewarding.
- **Weekend and Statutory Holiday On-Call **_

There will be a flat rate for each weekend and statutory holiday shift, and shift premiums will be issued when providing on-scene support.

**Position Requirements**:

- Maintain a time sensitive delivery response for telephone follow up, to meet the individual needs of those experiencing victimization or a tragic circumstance.
- Responsible for responding to escalated crisis response calls when on shift, assessing client needs, attending on-scenes and/or dispatching volunteers or additional staff as needed.
- Provide support, advocacy, referrals, and connections to community resources.
- Responsible for volunteer(s)’ direct service needs (including providing debriefs) while on shift.
- Bilingual (French/English), an asset
- Completion of 40-hour Victim Services training will be required.

(Travel within all of Manitoulin Island and the Northshore)

En partenariat avec les services de police de Manitoulin et de Northshore, nous offrons une aide initiale coordonnée aux victimes d’actes criminels, de traumatismes et de circonstances tragiques. Ce programme existe depuis 1997 et a aidé des centaines de victimes. Ce travail est à la fois stimulant et enrichissant.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’une personne énergique qui aidera à intervenir lors de situations de crise tout en travaillant au sein d'une équipe. Sous la responsabilité de la direction générale, ce poste de garde après les heures normales de travail exige d’être disponible, sur l’île Manitoulin et Northshore, de Walden à Nairn Centre, à passer les nuits à partir de 16 h 30 le vendredi et jusqu'à 8 h 30 le jour ouvrable suivant, y compris les fins de semaine et les jours fériés. Il s’agit d’un quart de travail avec une rotation continue toutes les deux semaines comprenant trois (3) à quatre (4) nuits chaque fin de semaine travaillée afin de fournir une réponse immédiate aux appels de crise, ainsi qu’une intervention d’urgence sur place. La rémunération sur appel est conforme à la Loi sur les normes d’emploi de l’Ontario et l’intervenante ou l’intervenant de nuit en situation de crise recevra une rémunération de trois heures par quart de travail garanti pour être sur appel et sera rémunéré pour tout temps travaillé en plus des trois heures si on l’appelle. Possibilité d’augmenter les quarts de travail selon le financement.

Il y aura un taux de salaire fixe pour chaque quart de fin de semaine et de jour férié, et des primes de poste seront émises pour le soutien sur place.

**Exigences du poste**:

- Maintenir un délai de réponse rapide pour le suivi téléphonique, afin de répondre aux besoins individuels des personnes victimes de violence ou d’une circonstance tragique.
- Répondre aux appels d’intervention en cas de crise pendant le quart de travail, évaluer les besoins des clients, se rendre sur les lieux et envoyer des bénévoles ou du personnel supplémentaire, au besoin.
- Fournir du soutien, des recommandations, des références et des liens vers des ressources communautaires.
- Responsable des besoins en services directs des bénévoles (y compris les séances de débreffage) pendant leur quart de travail.
- Bilinguisme (français/anglais), serait un atout.
- Une formation de 40 heures sur les services aux victimes sera exigée.
