**Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Financial Analysis**
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, focusing on trend analysis and forecasting.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare budgeted versus actual financial results.
- Support the development and refinement of financial models with guidance from senior analysts.
**2. Budgeting**
- Collaborate with budget planners to gather and analyze departmental budgets.
- Monitor budget adherence and provide insights to optimize spending.
- Assist in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
**3. Data Analysis**
- Work with data analysts to collect and interpret financial data.
- Use data visualization tools to present financial insights clearly and effectively.
- Help in developing dashboards to track and monitor key financial metrics.
**4. Accounting Support**
- Support the accounting team in monthly and yearly financial closings.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to internal financial policies and standards.
- Participate in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
**5. Reporting**
- Prepare and distribute regular financial reports for internal teams.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting tasks as required.
**Qualifications**
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Coursework or internship experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial software is an asset.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A team player with a proactive approach to learning and collaboration.
