**POSITION TITLE**: Finance/HR Assistant/Reception

**Scope of the Position**:
The Finance/HR Assistant’s role is to provide support to the Finance Manager and to ensure efficient and timely operations of the office. As as summer student this role will be project based.

**Key Responsibility: General Administration**
- The Finance/HR Assistant will update the internal staff phone list when required.
- The Finance/HR Assistant will be responsible for ordering of office and kitchen supplies according to budgetary guidelines.
- The Finance/HR Assistant will complete any additional job related tasks as assigned.

**Key Responsibility: HR Assistance**
- The Finance/HR Assistant will coordinate assignment of keys and equipment and tracking thereof, in conjunction with the Manager of Finance.
- The Finance/HR Assistant will, in coordination with Program Managers and the Executive Director, draft job postings for employment opportunities within CMHA, and be responsible for the advertising of all vacancies.
- The Fianance/HR Assistant will, in coordiantion with the Finance Manager review and update all HR files.
- The Finance/HR Assistant will track training and evaluations for employees.

**Key Responsibility: Fundraising/Donor Recognition**
- The Finance/HR Assistant will maintain a list of donors/participants/volunteers and the type of donation provided.
- The Finance/HR Assistant will assist in ensuring that appropriate appreciation is provided to all donors/participants/volunteers.
- The Finance/HR Assistant will prepare donation receipts, following approved policies and procedures and CRA regulations.

**Qualifications**

The Finance/HR Assistant will have just finished a diploma in Business Administration or in completed their second or subsequent years of a Business Administration Degree. The Finance/HR Assistant will have exceptional organizational skills and will be able to maintain discretion and manage confidential information in a respectful and trustworthy manner. Knowledge of housing and homelessness, mental health, and addiction issues are a plus.

This is an 8 week term position under the Canada Summer Jobs Grant.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

**Salary**: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
