Swift Medical is currently seeking a
**Data Science Co-op (R&D)** to join our team for the summer term

**Who you are**:
You are an excellent communicator and leverage those skills for collaborating with customers, end users, colleagues and other stakeholders.

**What you will do in a little more detail**:

- Help to curate a high-quality dataset for input as training data to our neural network AI for wound image analysis. This will include interfacing with external data labeling organizations;
- Work with the Data Science team using machine learning tools to develop custom predictive models and algorithms for structured & semi-structured data sets;
- Develop processes and statistical tools to monitor and analyze model performance, and quantify the impact of the newly trained predictive models on improving wound care procedures;
- Support the R&D team in data organization, and data cleaning as well as other tasks as determined from time to time.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Currently pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data science (or a related field with an emphasis on biomedical engineering or bioinformatics);
- Experience in software development or coding in Python;
- Solid experience in projects involving Data Science, Machine Learning;
- Familiarity with data processing;
- Experience in a healthcare setting or with healthcare technology is an asset.
