The Alberta Continuing Care Association (ACCA) is dedicated to supporting our members in providing high-quality continuing care services. We are a dynamic and innovative organization committed to leading the sector through advocacy, education, and member support.
Position Overview:
We are excited to announce an anticipatory hiring for the position of Director of Programs at the Alberta Continuing Care Association (ACCA). This forward-looking recruitment is part of our strategic initiative to strengthen our leadership team in anticipation of expanding and enhancing our suite of programs. The Director of Programs will play a pivotal role in managing and evolving these initiatives, ensuring they align with ACCA’s strategic goals and effectively meet the evolving needs of our members.
As Director of Programs, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a range of programs related to continuing care. This role involves leading program teams, liaising with various stakeholders, and continually assessing the effectiveness and impact of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a range of programs related to continuing care.
- Lead and manage program teams, ensuring effective delivery of program objectives.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare providers, and member organizations.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Represent ACCA at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to inform program development.
- Collaborate with ACCA leadership to align program goals with the organization's strategic direction.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Health Administration, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in the healthcare or non-profit sector.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams.
- Strong project management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- Knowledge of the continuing care sector and its regulatory environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and navigate complex, fast-paced environments.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work environment, blending remote work with office-based activities at ACCA headquarters in Edmonton.
- Occasional in-person attendance for team meetings, event planning sessions, and site inspections.
- Flexibility in work hours, including availability for evening and weekend events as needed.
