Cosmaceutical Research Lab Inc. is a leading contract manufacturer specializing in personal care products and OTC drugs. We are currently looking for a Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team in Surrey BC, reporting to QC Laboratory Manager
**Minimum requirements**:
- Bachelor or Master degrees in chemistry or analytical chemistry
- At least 3 year of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in a QC setting within the pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, or related regulated industry.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conducting analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to assess quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintaining and calibrating analytical instruments and equipment.
- Preparing and reviewing test documents, SOPs, test methods, and reports.
- Participating in laboratory investigations and problem-solving activities.
- Assisting in the development and validation of analytical methods.
- Ensuring laboratory compliance with health and safety regulations.
**Key Skills and Competencies**:
- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/Vis spectrometry, and wet chemistry.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to OTC pharmaceutical manufacturing, such as FDA, cGMP, and ICH guidelines.
- Ability to perform precise and accurate laboratory tests and interpret results.
- Excellent documentation skills, including maintaining lab notebooks, preparing test reports, and complying with data integrity standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and participate in continuing education programs.
- Flexibility to work different shifts if necessary, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical ability to perform laboratory tasks and operate equipment
**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
