Laundry Attendant

Under the supervision of the (Executive) Housekeeper the Laundry Attendant will thoroughly clean all hotel bedding and terry in a timely manner to ensure that the housekeeping department runs efficiently.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Run commercial laundry equipment
- General upkeep of equipment
- Quality control of linens and terry
- Keep laundry room tidy and all linens and terry nicely folded.
- Manage time efficiently to be able to clean and return linens and terry to housekeeping staff
- Report any defects and safety hazards to be familiar with WHIMIS
- Follow special cleaning instructions and directions from the Executive Housekeeper
- Be Familiar with departmental procedures and policies and ensure standards are adhered to
- Be efficient, effective, and responsive with inquiries and requests using good communications
- Work with supervisor (and maintenance) to ensure deficiencies and maintenance items are attended to
- Accomplish or assist with “Special Projects” as required

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Superior attention to detail
- Must be able to complete physical work including: crouching, kneeling, standing for extended period of time
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
