Ottawa, Canada IT Chapter Full time

IT Chapter is looking for **two (2) Network Support resources** that will provide network infrastructure support. The resources will be required to ensure that networking systems are properly deployed, maintained and supported. This person will be responsible of performing regular maintenance and/or upgrades. The resources will also be required to update operational procedures and documentation when applicable.

**Valid CCNP or higher CISCO or other Certifications related to networking infrastructure and network security is mandatory**

**Responsibilities**
- Install, configure and maintain devices.
- Ensure 24/7 availability on the various systems.
- Ensure proper operation of the disaster recovery solution and conduct regular tests.
- Secure systems and perform required daily operational controls.
- Monitor and maintain security infrastructure such as perimeter access points and intrusion prevention systems.
- Troubleshoot and correct network related issues.
- Provide levels 1 and 2 technical support to the Application Support team.
- Contact outside suppliers as needed.

**Prerequisites**
- Seven (7) years current experience (within the last 10 years) Designing, supporting and troubleshooting physical networking infrastructure
- Experience (within the last 10 years) in designing, maintaining, supporting or deploying Fabric Attached network infrastructure.
- Experience (within the last 5 years) in maintaining, supporting and deploying Extreme Networks or AVAYA networking infrastructure.
- Experience (within the last 10 years) in Developing, supporting and deploying network infrastructure in other government organizations with security constraints;
- Experience (within the last 3 years) developing, supporting and deploying Virtual private network solutions
- Experience (within the last 3 years) maintaining, supporting and deploying network deployments with Extreme Management Console (XMC).
- Experience (within the last 5 years) creating, updating and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Additional or higher CISCO or other Certifications related to networking infrastructure and network security.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
