Manager Stakeholder Engagement

Our client is seeking a manager of stakeholder engagement to oversee relationship management with current members and sponsors, developing new sponsorship and membership prospects, and feeding market insights to our programming and advocacy teams.
This is a perfect role for a high achiever with ~5 years experience in real-estate, sales, marketing, or membership services, looking to establish great connections in a thriving commercial real estate industry.
**Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain strong external relationships with sponsors and members, emphasizing the value of participation with the association
- Manage annual sales including strategy, renewals, prospecting, and tracking
- Act as sales support specialist for membership focused on lead generation for the membership team
- Work with the marketing and events team to ensure valuable sponsorship experiences
- Develop and deliver robust partnership proposals/packages inclusive of sponsor programs/programming, timelines, and budgets
- Build industry sector analyses, targeting strategies for top prospects, and customize proposals to win new business
- Update and maintain our sponsorship sales tracking tool
- Work closely with leadership to ensure a comprehensive corporate development strategy is implemented to achieve superior customer service while exceeding funding goals
- Participate in program development work by providing stakeholder insights to inform events, education, and advocacy
- Assist with our clients’ events and communications as required.
**Who you Are**
- An experienced relationship builder in a commercial setting
- Interest in commercial real-estate, building operations, prop tech or sustainability a plus
- A proven track record of sales success (ideally in sponsorship, membership, or advertising sales) including contract renewals and new business development
- Confident communicator with demonstrated ability to present information effectively in small group environments (sales meetings, lunch and learns, info sessions)
- Social and outgoing, enjoy attending industry events and networking with attendees
- Strong organizational and time management skills, diligent with follow through and timely correspondence
- High energy level, self-starter, and willing to take ownership of the sponsorship portfolio
- Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with
- Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing team, education team and advocacy group to ensure programming best meets market needs.
**Requirements**:
- Work location is primarily in office or at client sites primarily in Downtown Toronto. Some flexibility for hybrid work
- Schedule flexibility to attend morning and after-work networking events (internal and external)
- Some travel is expected, mostly around the GTA, but typically 2 trips annually for national and international events
- Car is not required, we encourage transit and active mobility, but will cover mileage with supervisor approval
