We are looking for a Manager with strong financial accounting and analytical skills to join our growing entity reporting team in Toronto, focused on Consolidation & Management Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle accounting for a set of corporate legal entities. Responsibilities include the month-end close process, assistance with corporate level budgeting and forecasting, preparation of quarterly and annual management accounts/financial statements, liaising with stakeholders and auditors, managing cash balances and completing technical accounting analysis.
**As a member of this team, you will be responsible for**:
**FP&A**: Preparing/reviewing/coordinating Oxford’s consolidated monthly, quarterly reforecast, and budget management reporting materials including story-telling of results and return analysis at various levels of the portfolio;
Performing return calculations and analysis/story-telling to an executive level including analysis of pending/completed transactions, analyzing attribution of key contributors and bridging returns;;
Playing a significant role in the continuous transformation of Oxford’s quarterly and budget executive-level reporting including coordinating with other teams as needed;
Using dynamic visualization tools (such as PowerBI) to communicate results and analysis at various levels and facilitating the underlying data infrastructure;
Executing Oxford’s monthly, quarterly, annual and budget consolidation and related reporting to ensure financial results are transmitted to Oxford’s parent, reflected accurately in the parent’s materials and creating/executing on additional schedules/inquiries as needed;
Analyzing key performance and operational indicators such as NOI, occupancy, leasing activity, interest, other gains and losses, capital expenditures/leasing costs, asset and debt mark to market, and performing related variance analysis as it relates to actual and forecast/budget reporting both at the consolidated portfolio level and various geographic and asset class levels;
Reviewing month end close entries (very limited scope) and reconciliations for consolidated reporting such as hedge journals, mark to market adjustments, equity reconciliations, intercompany eliminations and various other integrity reports;
Performing quality review of various reports prepared for internal use or parent reporting; and
Completing ad-hoc analyses as required by management.
**To succeed in this role, you**:
Have completed a Degree in Accounting and preferably obtained a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA);
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting/analysis or audit experience preferably with FP&A and Real Estate exposure and have a proven record of strong performance;
Have experience managing and actively participating in the growth and development of a team;
Analytical, and have the ability to produce analysis with appropriate style and language to support conclusions and communicate it to an executive level;
Possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; consolidation experience in complex environments is an asset;
High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills;
Have dealt with complex organizational structures and consolidations;
Have experience working with international organizations in a multi-currency environment;
Strong process management/improvement skills with a mindset for continuous improvement;
Thrive in organizations that constantly evolve and adapt;
Possess strong report/memo writing skills to an executive level;
Embrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a team environment;
Driven to achieving results and continuously striving to deliver the highest performance through critical thinking; and
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
