**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, the Materials Clerk is responsible for the clerical and administrative details of the Stores and Purchasing departments including: controlling the flow of documents through stores and purchasing; co-coordinating the company's tool program, associated calibration program and data base; maintaining the WHMIS library and associated data base; administering the employee uniform program; performing purchasing support functions; and performing clerical duties including, filing, completing time logs, typing, answering phones and other related duties. On a relief basis, carries out the duties of the Parts Control Clerk.

**Qualifications**:
High school graduate or equivalent;
Sound knowledge of purchasing, shipping, receiving and inventory control functions;
Working knowledge of hand and light industrial tools;
Knowledge of filing and record keeping techniques;
Typing skills with accuracy preceding speed;
Experience using a personal computer and Microsoft software;
Must have 18 months of clerical experience;
Demonstrate ability to organize and work in a multi-task environment with mínimal supervision.

**Other Information**:
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

**Work Schedule**:
40 hours per week.

**Rate of Pay**:
Wage: $33.07 per hour
