**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Campus Services, the Parking Ambassador serves as the front line of communication between guests and Seneca Parking and is responsible for ensuring a positive parking experience on each campus. The Parking Ambassador controls and directs traffic based on the needs of the driver and effectively communicates regulations, rates, and options. The Parking Ambassador also patrols and monitors parking lots to answer questions and ensure regulations are being followed, issuing tickets where needed.

There are two positions available:

- Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, at King Campus
- Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, at Newnham Campus

**Responsibilities**:

- Greets and directs drivers as they arrive on campus for day-to-day activities and special events, providing a positive parking experience.
- Works with the AIMS and Honk platforms to determine if payment was made for parking.
- Patrols and monitors parking lots and issues tickets to vehicles which have breached parking regulations.
- Communicates with team members or municipal parking authority members about issuing warning and city tickets as appropriate.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Municipal Law Enforcement Officer (MLEO) training an asset.

**Experience**
- Customer service experience, including handling upset customers.
- Previous parking enforcement experience an asset.

**Skills**
- Strong communication skills in order to effectively interact with a wide range of individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and event guests.
- Comfortable and effective in independently dealing with conflict.
- Willingness to work and patrol outdoors at various times of day, including early morning and late evening, and in varying degrees of weather.
- Ability to work as a team and to problem solve when needed.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Note: A skills assessment test will be administered during the recruitment process.

A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered as equivalent to the above requirements in the event that there are no internal applicants that meet the qualifications as posted. Equivalency will be assessed by the talent acquisition team.
