Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Analyst (Contract) will be a member of the Accounts Payable Team and provide efficient and effective support within the Accounts Payable Department.
This position is based in the Winnipeg, MB office and it will be a 15-month contract.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review and analyze invoices entered by the Districts.- Review and edit employee expenses for proper approvals, coding, and tax calculations in our expense management system Concur.- Enter and audit employee expense reports in Viewpoint Accounting Software.- Enter payroll related invoices and create EFT and Cheque payment batches.- Provide continuous training and support to the Accounts Payable teams in the Districts.- Assist the Districts/Management/IT with accounts payable inquiries.- Maintain the Company’s values by keeping information confidential.- Provide superior customer service.- Ad hoc projects as requested by Supervisor.
What We Are Looking For- High School Diploma required- Enrollment or completion of post-secondary in a related field would be considered an asset- Relevant work experience of at least 2+ years in Accounts Payable- Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment- Effective and efficient problem solving and decision-making skills; thoughtful, proactive and creative- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups- Strong written and oral communication skills- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
