Our clients are diverse and include Oil and Gas, Government/Municipal, HealthCare and private businesses.
**Who You Are**
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented IT consultant to deliver tangible results for our clients, with mínimal disruption.
A leader with extensive experience in backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, Help Desk, and Security you will oversee client’s needs and assist them with their IT needs. Posses a strong background consisting of Active Directory, VPN Technology, Cloud Services (Azure, Microsoft Office) and Wireless Technologies.
**Your Duties**:
- Meet with current and prospective clients, assessing their immediate and ongoing needs and developing a solution that works.
- Protect our clients' network infrastructure by overseeing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network security devices, including but not limited to Watchguard, Cisco, and Fortinet Networks.
- Possess a proactive and innovative approach to network security management.
- Identify potential market segments and develop innovative network engineering solutions and services to generate additional revenue streams.
- Deploy/Upgrade on premise and Cloud Servers as required.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential network security threats, ensuring continuous vulnerability management.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, implementing proactive measures to safeguard our clients' network.
- Evaluate and select the most advanced and effective network solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
- Respond rapidly and effectively to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing data breaches.
- Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes and implement preventive measures to prevent future incidents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with various vendors and suppliers.
- Escalate issues to ensure timely resolution, minimizing disruptions and maintaining the integrity of our network security.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or 2-3 Year Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2+ years of extensive experience in network security
- In-depth knowledge of network security technologies, best practices, and emerging trends
- Extensive experience with Watchguard, Cisco, and Fortinet Networks security platforms
- Expertise in security assessment and vulnerability management tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective decision-making in complex situations.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, encouraging collaboration.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and pass a RCMP Background check.
