Vancouver, Canada Kits Beach Coffee Full time

We are looking for a 4-day per week baker/food prep person who has previous baking or cafe BOH experience. This position will be working Friday-Monday, with two days as solo baker, and two days as assistant baker to the kitchen manager.

You will be baking and food prepping our assortment of current items daily.

Our menu is focused on seasonal, local, healthy and tasty. And it’s all got to look great for the ‘gram.

This is an opportunity for a creative self-driven individual to express themselves within our team both through baking as well as food prep
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a bakery AND food preparation role
- Creative and self-motivated
- Passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven food
- Has strong principles in regard to proper cooking techniques, and an eye for detail
- Keen understanding of nutrition, and healthy living
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Responsible for working during café-style hours, which may include mornings starting at 6:00 am and weekends. Approx 30 hours/week
- Tips and perks included
- Create and produce recipes.
- Opening display of all baked goods before the cafe opens.
- Ensuring care is taken for all ingredients and displaying proper technique and safe handling.
- Responsible for creating and following standardized recipes and portioning for completed dishes.
- Food costing, food ordering, inventory, cleaning, organizing, and maintenance.
- Ensures correct use, storage, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and facility.
- Responsible for working in a clean, and organized manner.
- Complies with local food safety regulations.
