Position Information

**Job Title**

- 1.0 FTE**About the Position**
- This is a full-time temporary position that starts August 1, 2024 and ends June 30, 2025, with the possibility of extension. This is a great opportunity for someone to discover if teaching is for them.**Position Details**
- Instruct various essential portions of the program (Lecture, Lab, CBAT, Dual Credit, etc..)
- Promote the program and facilitate recruitment of students
- Manage class schedules
- Track student progress and implement interventions as needed
- Content development and ongoing updates and maintenance
- Use canvas learning management system and Mobius testing programs
- Purchase of materials and equipment
- Provide reports and updates to the Associate Dean as needed
- Establish and maintain critical relationships with key partners and stakeholders
- Administrative tasks as needed

**Required Qualifications**
- Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certification, with a minimum of five years’ experience in the trade
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work positively in a team environment

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous formal and/or informal teaching experience is considered an asset
- Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
- Master Electrician Certificate is considered an asset

**Salary**
- Commensurate with education and experience according to the current Faculty Collective Agreement.**Working Here**
- If the contract is extended, employees receive merit increments every July 1, so there is room for growth.
- Employees are paid semi-monthly, so the 10th and 25th of each month and Term Certain instructors are paid from August 1, 2024 through until June 30, 2025.
- Full-time temporary employees are eligible for full-time temporary benefits, that begin on your start date. The comprehensive benefits package includes a Flexible Spending Account for health and/or wellness.
