**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager of Radiation Therapy Standards, and accountable to the Director of Policy and Planning for the Cancer Care Program (CCP), the Policy Lead’s role is to facilitate and accelerate the integration of policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols for the CCP.

The Policy Lead is accountable for ensuring the development of a system that is continuously updated and reflective of current best practice.

The Policy Lead serves as the Subject Matter Expert and main point of contact for policy matters within the CCP and is responsible for facilitating the development, review, maintenance, and distribution of CCP policies and associated processes as well as alignment of these policies with standards across relevant health sectors.

The Policy Lead provides support to CCP senior leadership to ensure sponsored policies and associated processes support the mission, vision and values of the organization and are not in conflict with existing professional and organizational bylaws, rules and regulations, as well as other policies and procedures. The Policy Lead is accountable for managing NSH’s Policy Management System as well as day-to-day operations, employee orientation and overseeing updates of same.

The Policy Lead is accountable to lead on-going education of employees both in the realm of policy development and writing as well as in the design and use of the NSH policy and procedure system, both hard copy and electronic.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Baccalaureate degree in a Health Care related field
- Masters' Degree in Business, Health Services Administration, Public Administration, Library Services or related field preferred
- Three years of recent experience required
- Previous experience in document research, development and project work
- Previous experience in facilitating and leading groups
- Knowledge and/or experience in Cancer Care an asset
- Project management training and experience
- Knowledge of OP3 an asset
- Knowledge of document control, content management principles
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:

- Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$34.96 - $42.58 Hourly
