**Job Description**:
Responsible for creating the daily operational plan for processing in the Distribution Centre across main aspects of wave and personnel planning.
You will be initiating the daily processing workload and must develop an in-depth knowledge of the entire operation, with an emphasis on systems and people. This individual interfaces with all department Team Leaders, workers, and upper management.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Order Management**
- Follow outlined process and daily checklists while build waves
- Optimize waves based on operational criteria, whilst maintaining routing rules and determining VAS requirements
- Must assist with running all needed reports daily and for final release of work
- Research and calculate workflow balancing
- Prepare and present ticketing report and wave building recap for workload planning
- Assist in ensuring that all waves have been analytically and carefully built to meet the processing start time for pulls and picking flow
- Build separate waves which are not part of the main wave planning such as Dedicated, Distributors, POP, Apparel and online orders
- Each of those waves may require follow-up and feedback from Allocations and Operational Management
- Work hands on with Corporate and DC management to accommodate any changes that may occur to the wave building process
- Identify issues/exceptions/shortages and follow up with Management, Logistics and Invento
- Communicate with appropriate departments when needed to resolve issues

**Personnel Planning**
- Work with Supervisory team to plan personnel based on volume and requirements
- Continually develop and understand staffing tools to ensure full and correct usage
- Translate the staffing needs per team
- Adapt planning as and when business requirements change
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
Job Requirements
- Onsite at the Distribution Centre
- Demonstrable experience in WMS, database query management (AS400 is preferred).
- System knowledge of Ortec, Commander, PKMS, would be an advantage.
- Experience and understanding of operational processes and flows.
- PC, MS Office experience required
- Analysis, research and planning skills are essential.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess organizational skills
- Must have a positive attitude as well as service oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow the directives of management
- Must have the willingness and desire to learn
- Detail oriented, highly organized and ability to work autonomously
- Perform other general duties as required
- Must always work safe and professional
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability and willingness to contribute hands on
- Good conceptual knowledge of relational database
- Experience working in a Distribution Centre would be advantageous.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ year(s) experience in Warehousing, Processing; Production planning, Wave Building or equivalent
